While at previous employment, IDeAs team members led the electrical system design for the Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus, an all electric, high performance, 643,000 SF office renovation and expansion including a new parking garage on a 32-acre tech campus in the heart of Silicon Valley featuring a 4 acre living roof, black water treatment and restored wetlands. The energy design uses a 476 kW PV array including bifacial PV shade structures, a sophisticated daylighting system and a parking garage with EV charging and chilled water storage. The project seamlessly integrated existing structures with new cross laminated timber construction to minimize embodied carbon. The project won a 2021 AIA COTE Top 10 Award.
